CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY IN MULTINATIONAL COMPANIES: A REGULATORY ASPECT OR A STRATEGIC ASPECT?

This work is part of the research process developed by GICEA -Group
Research in Economics and Management - which is attached to the
Line of Innovation, Productivity and Organizational Management
from the ECCI. Is to review the literature on the theoretical bases
that support the concept of corporate social responsibility,
and try to answer the question: “Multinational companies
that practice social responsibility do to meet a regulation or,
conversely, there is a strategic development that will enable such
companies positively impact the surrounding environment? The
paper concludes by specifying how multinational companies can
validate and legitimate character of the actions undertaken within
the concept of corporate social responsibility.
